Forms that no longer sit on the ground—
but remain suspended within the surface.
Jerusalem – Drifting Structures releases the city from weight and foundation. Arches, domes, and walls are still recognizable, yet they no longer anchor themselves to a fixed base. Instead, they extend downward in softened vertical motion, as if the structure is slowly dissolving into its own atmosphere.
There is no horizon line.
No clear separation between above and below.
The architecture appears to hold for a moment—then begins to slip, stretch, and fade. Trees and small elements of life remain attached, but lightly, without grounding the scene.
The palette is restrained—cool greys, pale stone, and muted gold—allowing the movement of the surface to remain central. Vertical flow replaces solid mass.
Nothing collapses.
Nothing fully holds.
This is not a city that stands.
It is one that lingers.
As a one-of-a-kind original, this work does not define space through structure.
It holds it through suspension, softness, and the quiet erosion of form.
