A city that does not gather into one—
but spreads, breaks, and reforms across the surface.
Jerusalem – Scattered Ground disperses structure and movement into a wide, unsettled field. The city is present, but never fully assembled. Buildings, paths, and figures appear in fragments, held together loosely rather than defined.
There is no center.
No dominant form.
The eye moves across areas of density and emptiness, shifting between clusters of figures and open ground. Movement is visible, but not directed—people gather, disperse, and reappear without a fixed path.
The surface is layered and active—muted golds, pale tones, and darker accents building a texture that feels in motion, even where nothing is clearly defined.
The city does not rise here.
It spreads.
This is not a structured view.
It is a condition of fragmentation.
As a one-of-a-kind original, this work does not organize a space.
It holds it through dispersion, movement, and the tension of what never fully connects.
