Rachel’s famous resting place, located on the way to Jerusalem in Bethlehem, is a source of comfort for her children. A loving mother, on the roadside, she is always waiting to embrace us. it’s a beacon of love and hope that speaks to us, inviting us to share our hearts inside. Using movement and texture I seek to convey a timelessness so appropriate to this iconic site. The black shadowing alludes to the pain we leave behind.
