Jerusalem – Gathering Ground holds the city at the level of encounter. The architecture is present, but it does not dominate. What takes shape instead is the space between—where people arrive, pause, and remain.

Spread across three panels, the scene unfolds without a single point of resolution. Arches appear, walls continue, and pathways open, yet none of them complete the image on their own. The separation between panels creates rhythm, allowing the movement of the eye to mirror the movement within the space.

Figures gather across the lower field, reduced to vertical marks that build density without detail. They do not stand apart from the environment—they are part of it, embedded within the same surface.

The palette is restrained—pale stone, soft greys, and muted gold—holding everything in balance. Nothing pushes forward. Nothing disappears.

This is not a moment of arrival.
It is the condition of being there.

As a one-of-a-kind original set, this work does not frame the city—it extends it.
