A horizon that holds—
without asking to be entered.
Jerusalem – Edge of Silence places the city at a distance, stretched across a narrow line that separates structure from open space. The walls remain intact, continuous, almost untouched—while everything below dissolves into a quiet, uninterrupted field.
There is no movement forward.
No path that invites entry.
The composition is built on restraint. A limited palette of black, pale gold, and softened neutrals reduces the scene to its essentials. The surface below reflects the city, but not clearly—forms blur, edges soften, and certainty fades.
Small elements of vegetation appear along the edge, but they do not break the stillness. They remain contained within it.
The city is present—
but held at a distance.
This is not a view to step into.
It is one to remain with.
As a one-of-a-kind original, this work does not draw the viewer inward.
It holds them at the threshold—through quiet, balance, and unresolved space.
