You don’t stay at a distance—you come close enough to stand with it. The wall fills the space, not as something to observe, but as something to face, quietly and without distraction. The figures are no longer part of a crowd; each one stands on their own, turned inward, carrying something that does not need to be shared. There is no movement to follow and no moment to arrive at, only the stillness of being present in front of something that has already received everything before you. The surface holds its marks without explanation, layers of time and touch that remain without asking to be understood. Nothing changes when you stand there, and yet something does. This is not about what is seen, but about what is brought, and what is left behind without words. The closeness does not reveal more—it simply makes it impossible to look away.
