A force in motion, spiraling inward—
where separation becomes transformation.
Splitting the Sea – Inner Current moves beyond the visible moment of the sea’s division, turning instead toward its internal energy. Created in Jerusalem, the work explores the unseen force behind the crossing—the tension, the pull, the shift from fragmentation toward alignment.
Sweeping circular movement defines the composition, with layered tones of gold, grey, and white creating a dynamic sense of rotation. The sea is no longer a boundary to be crossed, but a living current—one that gathers, bends, and reshapes itself from within. The motion feels continuous, as if the moment has no clear beginning or end.
The absence of defined figures shifts the focus inward, inviting a more personal reading of the passage. It is not about a collective moving forward, but about an internal turning point—an experience that unfolds beneath the surface.
As a one-of-a-kind original, this piece introduces a strong yet fluid presence within a space. It often acts as a visual anchor, bringing movement, depth, and quiet intensity into a refined interior.
This work is held in private collections across the United States.
