Chassidim – Lifted Steps focuses on a single, repeated action: the upward motion of the body at the peak of the step. Created in Jerusalem, the work isolates that instant where movement is no longer grounded, but suspended.

The figures are arranged in a loose triangle, each caught at a slightly different phase of the same motion. Arms are raised, feet lifted, coats extended—nothing static, nothing resting. There is no background narrative, no surrounding crowd—only the act itself, repeated and sustained.

A field of pale white holds the center, bordered by deeper blues that create a sense of containment. Within this space, the movement becomes clearer, more deliberate. Gold accents appear sparingly, marking points of energy rather than decoration.

There is no excess detail. The repetition of the step, the alignment of the bodies, and the consistency of the gesture carry the entire composition.
