Representing the Jewish people, the menorah is a symbol of light and knowledge. Lighting the Chanuka menorah celebrates the miracle of the Maccabees rededicating the Beit Hamikdash and lighting the Menorah with one last flask of pure oil that lasted for eight days.
While we wait for the return of the eternal flame, may we merit to ignite our homes
with light, spirit and faith.
